I have never been this unsure in my life; what most go through in adolescence, I am experiencing now. Since birth I have been sure of what I wanted and focused on getting it. No obstacle was so large that it could not be overcome or circumvented. Now, the decisions are many and difficult. I am nearly paralyzed with uncertainty. A midlife crisis? I passed that point about 10 years ago. Writing might help to make order out of my chaos and to bring me enlightenment.
Death is not a gradual process. You are either alive or you are not. All parts of the body do not die at the same rate, but Descartes' sentient being becomes extinct in a moment.

Not too much of current interest; graying, divorced woman with a BA in English and an encyclopedia in her head. Vietnam-era disabled veteran who also served in the 8th Infantry Division before it was disbanded. Was in 8 years or so, got an honorable discharge, but never did get a Good Conduct Medal! Yet, very feminine. Just adventurous. My motto: Don't Die Wondering! My other motto: If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
