I have never been this unsure in my life; what most go through in adolescence, I am experiencing now. Since birth I have been sure of what I wanted and focused on getting it. No obstacle was so large that it could not be overcome or circumvented. Now, the decisions are many and difficult. I am nearly paralyzed with uncertainty. A midlife crisis? I passed that point about 10 years ago. Writing might help to make order out of my chaos and to bring me enlightenment.

Somebody named Kelley Kelsey from South Bend, Indiana, has written, "Some of the greatest literature, art, and music that the world has known has been conceived in moments of profound loneliness, loneliness that has been accepted and allowed to speak. Not too much of current interest; graying, divorced woman with a BA in English and an encyclopedia in her head. Vietnam-era disabled veteran who also served in the 8th Infantry Division before it was disbanded. Was in 8 years or so, got an honorable discharge, but never did get a Good Conduct Medal! Yet, very feminine. Just adventurous. My motto: Don't Die Wondering! My other motto: If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
